What doesn't kill him only makes him stronger. He's absorbing negative vibes like the tree eating that axe and it's slowly turning him into the incredible Hulk.
Also, YAY! There is a very real chance that Trudy might kill him at the dance but for now, he is very pleased with himself <3

My gut is that she has no reason to not say yes, but they may have very different expectations of what a dance date is!!
